Welcome Message from the Organizing Committee Chair

Neil BurfordOn behalf of the Congress Organizing Committee for IUPAC | CCCE 2021, I am delighted to invite you to the 51st IUPAC General Assembly, 48th World Chemistry Congress (WCC), and 104th Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition (CCCE). The events are hosted in partnership with the Canadian Society for Chemistry, the Canadian National Committee for IUPAC (CNC-IUPAC), and the National Research Council Canada. In order to ensure the health and safety of our delegates, speakers, exhibitors, staff, and community during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, IUPAC | CCCE 2021 will be a fully virtual event, August 13 – 20, 2021.

Under the theme of “Solving Global Challenges with Chemistry” the program of IUPAC | CCCE 2021 emphasizes the vital role of chemistry in the future of society. The themes of the WCC highlight the importance of chemistry in energy, health, society, sustainability and frontier discovery and development. World class scholars have been identified to provide plenary lectures to lead each of the five themes, which collectively offer 85+ technical symposia.

We look forward to welcoming you with Canadian tradition.

Sincerely,

Neil Burford
