Volunteer Position, Vice-President, Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering (CSChE)
Overview: The Vice-President is an Officer of the CSChE and a member of the Executive Committee of the CSChE Board of Directors. The Vice-President plays an active role in setting and guiding the strategy and objectives of the CSChE and learns the role of the President. In the event the CSChE President is unable to perform a given responsibility, the Vice-President performs the duty of the President in that instance. The Vice-President will be a participant at CIC meetings and some committees. This is typically a one-year term, with the expectation that the Vice-President will become the President and Past-President in subsequent years, for a total of 3-years commitment. The Vice-President should be actively involved as a CSChE member, conferences, or divisions.
Volunteer Position, Director-at-Large, Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering (CSChE)
Overview: A Director-at-Large is responsible for furthering and implementing the direction established by the Board through active participation in Board activities. The Director may be asked to participate on subcommittees and other special one-time projects with the approval of the Board. This is a single 3-year term.
Volunteer Position, Director-at-Large, Young Professionals, Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering (CSChE)
Overview: A Director-at-Large: Young Professionals is responsible for furthering and implementing the direction established by the Board through active participation in Board activities with a special focus on young professionals. The Director may be asked to participate on sub-committees and other special one-time projects with the approval of the Board. The successful nominees will be early career chemical engineers (within 5 years of undergraduate studies or from graduation date, excluding career breaks) and will be expected to bring the perspectives of the early career chemical engineers to the attention of the CSChE Board. This is a single 3-year term.
