Student Chapters
Connect with a CIC student chapter at your school. The Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC) has student chapters at universities across Canada.
Local Sections
When you’re able to connect with others to share your love of the chemical sciences, everyone grows. CIC local sections bring peers together to help each other discuss ideas, enjoy educational activities, host outreach events for the public, and just plain have fun with like-minded people!
Subject Divisions
Working for Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (WIDE) Committee
The Working for Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (WIDE) Committee is a permanent committee of the Canadian Society for Chemistry (CSC). CSC WIDE works to create a fair, barrier-free chemistry community that understands, values, and adheres to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Member Resource Groups
Member resource groups (MRGs) allow people with shared identities, values, and vision to build community together at the grassroots level. MRGs provide valuable opportunities for networking and support to their members.
NSERC-Chemistry Liaison Committee (NCLC)
The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) provides funding to advance Canada’s scientific and technological capabilities. They support the formation and development of innovative research programs, purchase and ongoing maintenance of advanced equipment, and training of highly qualified personnel.
