The 2025 competition will involve the growth of the important mineral, potassium chloride. Each year, the National Crystal Growing Competition introduces people to the important art of crystallization, which a surprising amount of society relies on. This competition occurs annually in Canada, participants competing to grow the largest clean, high clarity crystal of a certain substance for “Best Overall Crystal” and “Best Quality Crystal” in either the student or teacher/lab instructor categories. This year, the competition will be occurring in 2025 and will involve the growth of potassium chloride (KCl) within the growth period from February 3^rd to April 3^rd. In order to participate, please refer to the National Crystal Growing Competition Guidelines (this contains a list of regional coordinators and contact your nearest coordinator to alert them of your intent to participate (using google maps to determine which coordinator you are closest to).

Compétition nationale de croissance de cristaux

Le compétition de 2025 portera sur la croissance d’un minéral important, le chlorure de potassium. Chaque année, le compétition national de cristallisation initie les gens à l’art important de la cristallisation, sur lequel une part surprenante de la société s’appuie. Ce compétition a lieu chaque année au Canada, les participants s’affrontant pour faire pousser le plus grand cristal propre et de haute clarté d’une certaine substance pour le « Meilleur cristal global » et le « Meilleur cristal de qualité » dans les catégories étudiant ou enseignant/instructeur de laboratoire. Cette année, le compétition aura lieu en 2025 et portera sur la croissance du chlorure de potassium (KCl) au cours de la période de croissance du 3 février au 3 avril. Pour participer, veuillez vous référer aux directives du compétition national de croissance de cristaux (qui contiennent une liste de coordonnateurs régionaux) et contacter votre coordonnateur le plus proche pour l’avertir de votre intention de participer (en utilisant Google Maps pour déterminer le coordonnateur le plus proche de chez vous).
