Bio: Alex collaborates with faculty, staff and students to find new ways to integrate artificial intelligence into their work. He’s keenly invested in promoting understanding of AI, and working to support ethical AI development and practices.
Workshop description
Dive into the world of generative AI with a focused workshop designed for those interested in the practical applications of AI/ML in chemical engineering. The session begins with a lecture on the principles of generative AI, including detailed insights on how models like GPT-4 work. Following the talk, participants will have the chance to train and experiment with a generative model, working with the course instructor to adapt it for specific use cases and modify its behaviour.
Aimed at industry practitioners looking to integrate AI tools into their work, this workshop will offer both foundational knowledge and practical experience.
Registration: Seats are limited. All conference attendees are welcome, but preference will be given to industry participants.
Certificate: All participants will be given a certificate of completion, suitable as a record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity.
