Data-driven approaches and applications to industrial fault detection and diagnosis, process monitoring, control loop performance monitoring, product quality monitoring, process control and process optimization. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Process Systems Engineering

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) as a part of PSE methodology. Submissions can focus on the AI or ML techniques and algorithms, or their implementations in PSE. These may include model development, digital twins, operator training, control, simulation, optimization, or others.
Process Systems Engineering for Energy and the Environment

This session aims to present advances in the design, operations management, control, storage, distribution, planning, scheduling, optimization, and sustainability of conventional and emerging energy systems. Topics relevant to this session include, but not limited to: energy conversion, power generation under near-zero emissions, renewable energy systems, process integration strategies for sustainable development, heat recovery, energy storage, production of valuable chemicals and fuels from coal-fired systems or biomass sources (e.g., biorefineries), and CO2 capture, storage, management and utilization.
