Plenary panel – Tuesday afternoon at 14:00
Panelists:
Michel Chornet, Executive Vice President, Engineering, Innovation and Operations, Enerkem
Bruna Rego De Vasconcelos, Assistant Professor, Université de Sherbrooke
Oshada Mendis, Deputy Director for the Clean Fuels Portfolio at the Office of Energy Research & Development, Natural Resources Canada
Theme: Future of the Canadian Energy Sector and the Roles of Chemical Engineers
Canada’s energy future must be clean, but also accessible, efficient and affordable. The panel discussion will feature strategies and approaches to develop and implement clean and efficient energy systems and to reduce carbon emissions.
There is a wave of technological innovations sweeping around the world in response to this demand. How can Canada meet its 2050 net-zero carbon emission goal? How will the chemical engineers will participate in achieving this goal?
Future special issue in the Canadian Journal for Chemical Engineering, the premier journal of the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering, published in partnership with Wiley.
