The Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC) is pleased to announce that Paul Smith, Vice President, Xerox Innovation Group and Centre Director, Xerox Research Centre of Canada joined the CIC Board of Directors as Vice-Chair, as of the June 6, 2019 CIC Annual General Meeting in Quebec City.
Smith received his PhD in the field of chemistry from the University of Bath, England in 1991 and in 2001 received an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, at the University of Toronto. He is the first chairman of the Canadian Printed Electronics Industry Association, past Chair of the Conference Board of Canada Council for Innovation and Commercialization and served on Canada’s Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Councils’ Committee on Research Partnerships. Smith is a named inventor on 78 U.S, patents and has 16 publications.
