As part of its ongoing advocacy initiatives, the Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC) submits an annual Brief to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance (FINA). CIC, through executive director Roland Andersson, also maintains an active membership role with both the Partnership Group for Science and Engineering (PAGSE) and the Canadian Consortium for Research (CCR). PAGSE and CCR meet annually with the granting council and Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) presidents; both groups also submit Briefs to FINA.
