Dear Colleagues,
We are looking for your help in identifying Early Career Chemists to represent Canada (and the CSC) at the 2nd Commonwealth Chemistry Congress in Trinidad and Tobago from May 23-25, 2023. As you will see from the link, the Congress is structured around six key UN Sustainable Development Goals and is unique in its focus on the principle of equal representation for all Commonwealth countries as well as its emphasis on contributions from early career chemists.
The CSC is looking to identify 3 Early Career Chemists who will serve as Canada’s delegates for the Congress and present a scientific poster based on their research. The team of delegates, whose expenses will be covered by the CSC, should represent Canada’s diversity (scientific, geographic, gender, physical ability and other demographics) and the selection will be based on the criteria outlined in the application including the research connection to the Congress themes.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants should be:
- a chemical scientist in the early stages of their career (i.e., up to 10 years after completion of PhD, or equivalent experience, excluding any career breaks)
- a member of the CSC
- working in academia, industry, or a science institution
- living and working or studying in Canada
The deadline to apply is October 15th, 2022 by noon (Eastern time), submit your application to CICAdmin@ChemInst.ca with 2nd Commonwealth Chemistry Congress 2023 in the subject line
