We have received exciting news: CJCE’s 2-year impact factor (IF) has increased to 2.2 and its 5-year IF has increased to 2.3!

IF is calculated by dividing the total number of citations received for articles published over the specified time period by the number of articles (citable items) published during that time period.

IF is just one of the many metrics that can be used to measure the impact of a journal and the articles published therein. Among these other metrics are CiteScore and Journal Citation Indicator. For 2025, CJCE received a CiteScore of 4.4 and a Journal Citation Indicator of 0.29. Also, in 2025 CJCE received 489,717 online full-text views of its published articles. For information about how each of these metrics are calculated, see Wiley’s Journal and Article Metrics Guide.

CJCE’s global reach and impact is also highlighted by the top 5 countries from which authors submitted to CJCE in 2025: China, Canada, India, Iran, and Brazil. Similarly, the top 5 countries from which researchers read CJCE content were China, United States, Canada, India, and South Korea.

This increase in IF and other key metrics would not be possible without our authors—and the high-quality research they publish with our journal—as well as the dedication of our reviewers, associate editors, editorial boards, and editorial team. Thank you for your contributions to the continued success of CJCE!
