Spotlight Videos—an initiative of the CSC’s Working for Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity (WIDE) Committee—shines a light on chemists from diverse backgrounds and creates opportunities for increased representation of diverse researchers and scientists. Each month, CIC News highlights one researcher from the Spotlight Videos library.

Na-Yung Seoh is an M.Sc. candidate at York University. Na-Yung’s research focuses on air quality in a city. More air particles lead to thicker films on windows. She uses the urban surface films to gauge air pollution.

In this WIDE Spotlight Video, Na-Yung highlights the undergraduate research opportunities in chemistry, avenues to finding role models, and need for diverse representation in chemistry community.
