Abstract/Description: Laboratories are one of the most resource-intensive spaces and one of the most expensive to construct and support on university research campuses.  At the University of Colorado Boulder for example, research buildings represent over 40% of campus building energy consumption and require significant use of water, chemicals, and single-use plastics.  With the climate crisis upon us, actions that can be taken for efficiency and sustainability within scientific research are more important than ever.  This presentation will focus on actions that scientists can take to reduce the environmental footprint of their research.
