The Call for Papers for the 100th Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition opens on Dec. 9, 2016. CSC 2017, themed “A Celebration of Chemistry,” marks the 100th anniversary of the chemistry conference and will take place in Toronto from May 28-June 1, 2017. The Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering (CSChE) Awards nomination deadline is Dec. 1. The honours include: Award for Best Graduate Student Paper in The Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering; the Award in Design and Industrial Practice; The Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering Lectureship Award; the D.G. The Canadian Society for Chemical Technology (CSCT) Award nomination deadline is Dec. 1. The CSCT Norman and Marion Bright Memorial Award recognizes individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to chemical technology in Canada. Details at www.cheminst.ca/awards/csct-awards.

The Lionel High School Scholarship has been established to assist a high school student who shows an interest in science in his/her transition to study chemistry or biochemistry at a postsecondary institution (two–year college or cégep pre-university program or university program) but who would not otherwise be able to attend without significant financial assistance.
