The 2013 It’s Chemistry Eh?! YouTube contest was an overwhelming success with 22 entries from high school students across Canada. The videos embraced such chemistry topics as the benefits of chemistry in everyday life to contributions by recognized chemists and busting chemistry myths. First place went to David Aukema for the video “Chemistry is Everywhere.” Marta Skreta’s “What if Chemistry Stopped Working” nabbed second place and Emma Xie’s and Fangwei Chang’s “What does Organic Mean to You?” was third.
