Monsaroff Student Paper Presentation Night
February 19, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The Monsaroff Student Paper Night was introduced in the 1960’s and is named in recognition of Boris Monsaroff, an industrial chemist/chemical engineer and author, who lived and worked in Hamilton, for more than 30 years and who played a leading role in the Chemical Institute of Canada (ClC). Monsaroff maintained a vigorous interest in science and economics and was deeply concerned with the impact of scientific development on economic and political policies.
The Hamilton section of the CIC organized Student Paper Night in order to foster student interest in developing communication skills and in using these skills to transmit knowledge to a general audience. Since its creation two students from McMaster Chemistry, McMaster Chemical Engineering and Mohawk Chemical Technology have gathered in front of interested students, faculty and friends to share knowledge. The Student Paper Night is hosted by a different one of these groups every year on a rotating schedule.
The awards consist of 6 x $75.00 honorarium and overall winner will receive engraved gold (plated) Monsaroff Medal.
This years event will be Hosted by Mohawk College, March 3rd, 2020. 7-9 pm.
