In this presentation, our speaker will discuss the state of the practice in the validation of system safety hazard analysis in both academia and industry, including the definition of validation and the most frequently used validation methods.

Reyhaneh is a Ph.D. candidate in the department of Industrial Engineering at Dalhousie University. She earned a Master of Science in Engineering (Industrial Engineering) in 2016 and Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Industrial Engineering) in 2012. She has more than 7 years of experience in the field of Risk Management and Business Process Management. Her current research interests and areas include Risk and Hazard analysis and management and Safety Management.
Topic 2: PSM Implementation Through the Use of Integrated Management Systems (IMSs)
Integration, both formal and informal, is of one of many ways that PSM can be implemented to improve process safety traction in an organization and to make implementation less resource intensive. In this presentation, our speak will discuss how PSM is implemented, with and without the use of an IMS, and identify themes related to the best practices and challenges when it comes to PSM implementation.
