Canadian Society for Chemistry and American Chemical Society Sign Cooperative Agreement

December 12, 2014

The Canadian Society for Chemistry and the American Chemical Society (ACS) have signed a memorandum of understanding that promises to promote innovation and expedite knowledge transfer in the North American chemical industry.

The three-year agreement, beginning Jan. 1, 2015, also commits the two organizations to develop a joint action plan for facilitating cooperation among the Americas, and to organize a “next generation” gathering of young scientists at their respective national meetings in 2015 or 2016. It also allows for CSC and ACS members to register for conferences and short-course at member or preferred rates.
