UBC invites applications for the position of Lecturer, Department of Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry of the University of British Columbia is seeking to fill a position at the Lecturer level starting July 1, 2018.
Individuals with an academic background in synthetic organic chemistry either directly or within broader areas such as materials science, biological chemistry or catalysis are appropriate. The position requires a demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate instruction, especially within a laboratory setting. Strong assets are an ability to work independently, effective communications skills, a demonstrated ability to supervise the work of others, and proven potential for creating innovative instructional environments in both the undergraduate classroom and the laboratory. Responsibilities of this position include a combination of undergraduate organic laboratory supervision and classroom instruction. Individuals with a Ph. D. in Chemistry are strongly preferred.
