ACCN Magazine shifts to online format
The Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC) and its nationally published news source magazine, ACCN (L’Actualité chimique canadienne) the Canadian Chemical News will shift to an online format in 2018.
ACCN presents national stories from the chemical sciences and chemical engineering sectors. Published 10 times per year online, ACCN features cutting-edge scientific discoveries as well as the latest innovations from industry. Insightful columns and breaking news stories embrace all aspects of the Canadian chemistry scene: ACCN’s regular lineup of in-depth feature stories showcase the problem-solving abilities of chemists and chemical engineers and their embrace of the biggest challenges facing society today, from energy, food and water security to advances in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
As the news source of the Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC), ACCN is a key communication tool helping advance the outreach goals of CIC’s Constituent Societies by enhancing the public’s understanding and appreciation of the chemical sciences. ACCN is distributed to all Members of Parliament in Ottawa to assist the advocacy and lobbying efforts of CIC’s Constituent Societies on issues of research funding and regulations.
Members of the Constituent Societies of the CIC receive a complimentary subscription with their membership. Each issue of ACCN will be introduced by ACCN Headlines which will be emailed to CIC members and packed with hot links to take readers directly to the ACCN web site. Non-members and institutions can also subscribe to the online magazine at http://www.cheminst.ca/magazine/subscribe.
