Spotlight Videos—an initiative of the CSC’s Working for Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity (WIDE) Committee—shines a light on chemists from diverse backgrounds and creates opportunities for increased representation of diverse researchers and scientists. Each month, CIC News highlights one researcher from the Spotlight Videos library.
Robert Addai is a Ph.D. candidate at Western University working with Prof. Yolanda Hedberg. Robert’s research focuses on metal corrosion due to road salt exposure, during de-icing in wintertime. Ultimately, Robert is looking to identify an environmentally friendly salt.
In this WIDE Spotlight Video, Robert highlights the research opportunities that are available to international students, and how through determination and hard work they are making important discoveries that will impact Canadians.
